WinFR Folders - The ultimate Folder Renamer

Renaming functionalities of Folders:

1. Numbering
   The numbering function is particularly helpful with the comfortable administration of picture or music collections. As user of WinFR Folders you have many options to number folders. It is possible to place the numbering before and after the folder names. The actual folder name is normally preserved in this process, but it also can changed to a unique value. You can also use a random numbering, and intermediate characters to separate the numbering from the folder names.
2. Renumbering
   This function allows the changing of an existing numbering. You can insert new folders into numbering, remove folders from numbering, or change the parameters of the numbering (initial value, incrementation, ...).
3. Date/Time
   With this option date and time of creation or last modification can be added to the folder names. Therefore different date/time formats are available or can be defined by your own.
4. Folder extension
   Like file names, also folder names can have an extension. To change this for many folders at once, this functionality is available. You can simply replace the existing folder extension, or keep it as part of the folder name and add a new one.
5. Capitalization
   Four functions of capitalization are available, which should cover the most usual requirements. There is the option to apply this function to folder names only, to folder extensions only, or to both.
6. Prefix/Suffix
   With this option the folder names are extended by a prefix and/or suffix, without changing the actual core of the folder name.
7. Replace/Remove
   With the help of this option single characters or character strings of a folder name can be removed or replaced by new characters or character string (e.g. replacing of underlines by blanks). The replacing of first x characters, from character x, or from character x to y is also possible (whereby x and y are positions in the file names). Additionally you can replace or remove character groups like numbers, letters or special characters.
8. Insert
   This menu option allows to insert charakter strings on free choosable places of the folder name. There is the possibility to select if the counting starts at the beginning or at the end of the file name.
9. Move
   Herewith you can freely move parts of folder names to new positions.
10. Trim
    By means of this functionality the name can be limited to a given number of characters.
11. Name structure
    A name structure provides the functionality to assemble folder names by a specific schema. Beside normal text (which will be taken over one-to-one into the file name) also so called elements (tags) are supported. Examples are additional information like parts of the current file name.
12. Get new names from file
    By means of this option new folder names can be determined by a list. For this WinFR Folders uses CSV files which among others can be created with customary spreadsheet programs.
